History
Before this house was called Orchard House it was called Kelvincote, and before that, in the 1911 census it was called 1 & 2 Grove's Cottages (number 1 was on the left and was occupied by William and Ursula Westley and their five children, whilst number 2 was on the right and was occupied by Joseph and Martha Pearson).
The London Gazette of 9th October 1953 lists the probate of Charlotte Constance Taylor Taylor (sic) who was a resident of "Kelvincote", Carlton, Near Newmarket, a spinster, who died on the 26th September 1953.
