Edward Palmer and his family moved to live in Hillcroft in Carlton.
In 1887 Edward married Eliza Ann Martin who was born in December 1864 at Barway, Soham, Cambridgeshire.
In 1903 he was a Drayman, and was living at Monument Street, Peterborough.
He had several children:
- Victor W.E. Palmer (born 1888)
- James Palmer (born 1893)
- Olive Iris Palmer (born 16th April 1895 in Peterborough, died September 1972)
- Clarence Harry Palmer (born 1899)
- Lilian May Millicent Palmer (born 3 May 1903, baptized 7th June 1903, Peterborough, died 1986)
The probate record for Edward states:
- PALMER Edward of Hillcroft Carlton Cambridgeshire died 8 May 1944 Administration (with Will) Llandudno 8 July to Oliver (sic) Iris Palmer spinster. Effects £306 11s. 7d.
